Our clients often request backup power solutions. These are just a few generator installations.
- Engen 110 KVA
- Toyota 275 KVA
- Mamco 100 KVA
- The Butcher Shop 150 KVA
- Madison 150 KVA
We supplied the above with automatic changeover switches, control cabling and the required cable management systems including cable trays and trunking.
We offer two types of generators:
- Prime generators – are designed to operate for long durations at variable load. Prime generators typically have a large cooling system. Continuous fuel combustion in the engine causes enormous amounts of heat to be generated. This heat has to be removed by artificial means in order to prevent inevitable buildup of temperature. Engines are often cooled by circulating cooling water in a jacket around the engine.
- Standby generators – are to be run only when there is an outage to the utility grid or the main source of power in a backup situation. Standby power generators typically work for short durations, such as a few hours at a time. This gives them two advantages over continuously operated power generators. Standby units have time to cool down naturally when not in operation.
